Western Institute of Nanoelectronics on Green Engineering and Metrology
As part of a grant application to National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST), SAA was hired to quickly program, design and determine costs for for the WIN-GEM and Engineering VI site. SAA briskly worked with Capital Programs, HSSEAS and their consulting engineers to design an optimal solution in a very tight time frame to meet the deadline. The resulting conceptual design for the 35,000 SF Western Institute of Nanolectronics on Green Engineering and Metrology (WIN-GEM) Facility at UCLA provides a temperature-stabilized, low-vibration, low electromagnetic field building designed to meet the needs of 21st century clean- tech research.
